Great shave soap, not quite Tuscan Leather

Posted by Alexander Noot on Dec 5th 2017

    First of all the soap,
it's excellent. Simply one of the best possibly THE best shave soaps I've tried. Lots of glide, cushion and care for the skin. Simply excellent.

Then the only downside to the product. The scent is amazing. But I was hoping for something that smelled more like Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford. The basis for it seems kind of right but there's not enough leather in it to match the Tom Ford notes. The Raspberry scent is much more overpowering and honestly, gorgeous. And I'll definitely keep using it because it's great. But as it was advertised as Tuscan Leather, and that was the thing that pulled me over the threshold I'm slightly disappointed by it. Does not clash with the perfume though. So some days I just have a raspberry and Leather day and use the soap, aftershave balm and the cologne.

    Very good performance.

This soap checks all the boxes, performance wise.
But for me the scent is not a winner. No real dig on the soap. Because scent is very subjective. Will be trying the other scents to find one that smells to my nose as good as the performance. My $.02 Ken

This soap tops all others I've used. It whips up a nice thick lather very quickly. The scent is out of this world good!!!
This soap gives you cushion and glide during your shave. I am a straight razor guy, and this soap has gone to the top of my rotation of soaps.
Quality and just a wonderful soap to use.
My skin, hours later still feels smooth and refreshed.

    Strong Leather, Optimal Lather

Posted by Paul on Aug 9th 2017

This was my first Oleo product, and I gotta say I'm impressed. The scent strength is above many other artisans - not overpowering, but nice and strong. The lather is easy to make, and provides plenty of residual slickness for those spots that need quick touch up rather than another pass.
