I opened the lid and the scent hit me. Melonade is the right name for this soap. It lathered real easy. The lather smells really good and shaves smooth.
I picked up a container of Melonade soap last week and tried it right away. The scent was amazing, and the consistency is soft; you can scoop a small bit with your finger to put into a shave bowl. At first I only loaded a little bit on the brush (about a 20 second load) and created a nice slick lather; the glide was great. Before my second pass I put a bit in a shave bowl and loaded it up for another 30+ seconds creating a thick, rich and luxurious lather that made me feel like I was being pampered in a spa. The shave continued to be amazing. I would highly recommend this soap, as I can create a thick lather, a slick lather, or anything in between.
Bought two pucks of this stuff and so far, Im very impressed. I love the container it comes in. The scent to me smells like a Watermelon Jolly Rancher with a slight sour hint of Lemon. The scent is amazing and she nailed it perfect. The lather is very creamy and up there with the best. The slickness is pretty good as well. The ingredients in this soap are high end and what I look for in a soap. Me and my twim did get a little burning from the fragrance like we do sometimes with certain Caties Bubbles, but our skin is very sensitive. Pre shave oil does stop the burning for us. I plan on buying another puck soon. As well as her upcoming Tallow soaps.
